a few weeks ago i had a squizz at this circuit on the breadboard, and was immediately enjoying the thick crunchy blown out saturated drive that comes from this thing. it's sick. [
grab an El Sol Distortion if you haven't already]
i was yet to do a single knob build, this circuit was satisfying enough, so i went ahead and ordered a 1590B metallic dark gold from tayda.
easy cute little layout and only 2 resistors is kinda hilarious.
the 'metallic dark gold' appearance varies quite a lot under different lighting
in today’s demo i am using the pickup volume knobs for the first time ever. (with exception to the Brian May ‘Deacy’ amp)
- starts off with both volumes at 3 for a little less saturation, and then it’s full volumes for most of it.
+/- boosting from a V7 russian big muff (makes it even thicker, nice and scoopy, and infinite sustain)
