Voltages on Duocast

Made the mistake of building a Duocast board without reading the build docs, most of the electrolytic caps I used are only rated at 25V. I've built a ton of pedals, but typically they don't go over 18V so I've actually never run into this issue - how sketchy is it to leave the 25V caps? If I'm reading the schematic right it should only hit 24V, just not sure how close you can get on the caps before they'll pop lol. I'm still waiting on the transformer so I have time to pull them if it's actually an issue, I just don't happen to have the 35/50 electrolytics on hand

I made the same exact mistake! Decided that 1v range was a little too close for comfort, so I ordered a few 35v and swapped them out. Did you get yours finished? I'm curious to know how it went.

I just ended up buying the 35V caps and replacing them lol. Haven't put the pots in yet, still need to drill the enclosure it get them fitted properly

If you dime the gain, it is possible that the voltage may exceed 25V in a few places in the circuit. Hard to say without measuring but I wouldn’t chance it!

Yeah I looked at the schematic a little more and came to the same conclusion lol I ended up just pulling the caps and replacing them
