I’m interested in the Stone Deaf FX PDF-2 (a.k.a. Acrobat), but I noticed that it lacks a volume knob. I am thinking about using a 3PDT Breakout Board with Output Boost to give it a volume knob that can go below unity or push it into insane territory. Does this sound like a reasonable idea, or should I just look into adding a volume pot at the output stage of the pedal? I’ve never done that before, but I don’t imagine it’s all that complicated. (I mean, I added a bass control section to my Bixonic Expandora. It can’t be more complicated than that, can it?) Thoughts?
I think this might be my first "proper" build report--not a PTP.
It's not particularly exciting--There really isn't a lot of extraneous skilled stuff to show off with like tidy off-board wiring--this thing was titetitetite. The nice white enclosure was because stompbox parts didn't have any bare aluminium ones in stock. I did put some nice knobs I sourced at Lee's Electronics last time I was home on there so it would look good, but as is usually the...

Beautiful! Now that I'm looking at it more closely, the output boost board wouldn't fit the Acrobat build, unless I used a larger enclosure and put it off to the side. I'd rather just add the volume pot. Thanks, friend!
