Ways to use 2N404A’s

Hey all!
I have come into 5 2N404A Germanium transistors! Can anyone recommend any projects in the current roster that would utilize these? I’m not really a fuzz person, I prefer overdrive. I just built a Duocast which I LOVE so maybe the answer is building another.
If you have any ideas let me know! I was hoping I could use them in a range master type treble boost build.
Anyway, any tips are much appreciated

With hFE around 80 these will work well in many germanium PNP fuzz circuits. Do you have a transistor tester?

The TC1 is what I have and very popular on the forum. There are other options too.

TC1 user here. The other popular more expensive choice is a Peak Atlas DCA series unit.

If you're going to splurge on a Peak Atlas, I think it's worthwhile to just get the 75 as from what I've read the 55 does just about everything you'd need whereas the 75 does do everything you need. Mind 75's nearly double the price of the 55. In for a penny, in for a pounding and cry once.
