Yes, you can swap bias resistors with trimmers. I find it easiest you use multiturn pots. Use flat pliers and bend two legs together to the footprint width.

Yes the orientation is correct.
Any way you could point out the bias resistors to be replaced? And possibly the trimmer values needed ( I know it almost seems like I'm asking you to do it for, me but I'm not I just don't know enough yet to figure it out myself.
