Here is the Whole Hearted V2. It is a dual LM386 based distortion pedal. The artwork is based on drawings my daughter used to do when she was little. The first version of this pedal was my first attempt at modding/designing a circuit. This is updated now that I know a bit more about pedals.
The mode control sets the first LM386 to a gain of 20 or 200. The gain control sets the gain on the second IC. With both all the way up it can get very distorted with both all the way down it gets into the heavy end of overdrive.
This is how the 2 high controls work. https://www.falstad.com/afilter/cir...0+100000 o+0+16+0+34+5+0.00009765625+0+-1+in One adjusts the slope and the other frequency. I’m pretty happy with how this part of the circuit works.
Oddly the low control is the part of the circuit I am unhappy with. It is just a high pass filter with a variable resistor. It feels too subtle for this circuit. I might try either changing the cap to make it more drastic or look at adding a different type of bass control.
I also may make some custom knobs for this in the future when I have my 3D printer going again.
