Why did I fear SMD fets?

Today I hand-soldered SMD jfets onto a board for the first time. It was so easy! Brief learning curve and then I was like “no leads to clip!”

That said, one more cup of coffee and it woulda been impossible. 1 or 2 of those little jfets just completely disappeared into the air. Like did I freakin’ inhale a fet?

Anyway the point is, my friends, if you’re like me and paranoid about working with SMD parts, I suggest getting on with it!
