Why even have a clean blend on a compressor?

For a good example, you can look up for Michael Brauer "Brauerize" method of mixing and how he used to use parallel compression all the time with analog gear.

Both clean blend. First one is fader riding and second one mix knob. Could also be a panorama knob.

Just say no to the "BLAND-KNOB", and then use your VFE Klein bottle to bland in dry on 3 different compressors...
