Would a "Mods" section be worth a try?

A big part of why I like to build pedals is so that I can change them. In fact that is by far the main reason I like to build. And sometimes players like me building away in obscurity can come up with some great idea which really improves the sound or utility for themselves.

For example I like to build the Timmy with reverse audio taper tone pots and wire them like regular bas and treble pots, ie 180 degrees from stock. That's pretty obvious and straightforward.

And recently I found that I liked the sound of the Guardian with the "presence" knob in one particular spot. I like my pedals to have as few knobs as possible but no fewer. So I built my second Guardian with no presence pot so it became a simple Gain/Volume/Bass/Treble overdrive. I just added a 6K8 resistor across where pins 1 and 2 of the presence pot would be. I found that to be the sweet spot for me. And now one of my favourite ODs. Less chance of dialling in a dud tone for me.

Would a Mods section appeal to anyone?

I think that's a great idea. That's my philosophy too. Also I'll build a clone is a pedal is also hard to come by or an exorbitant price especially when it's very simple (ie few components, etc.)

I plan on building the suhr riot pedal and I am adding a presence trim pot so I can set it too either the stock values of the resistor divider before the filter caps or see if I can potentially dial it in better with my rig.

Another thing I like to do is rearrange the knobs so that I know where the gain pot will always be (top right in my case). That sort of thing. So cool to be able to customise to suit your rig - I use less gain than a lot of players so sometimes use a smaller value gain pot, etc. I really like the Guardian but for me it is really bright. So I put a .033 cap across pins 1 & 2 of the volume pot. Now treble is perfect at 12.00. Stuff like this is easy to do and if someone has something they want to change maybe they can ask and we can help with some ideas. The PCBs don't cost much so I sometimes buy 2 or 3 to try different things with.
