This one's a real sleeper.

Don't see a lot of build posts about. I have to admit I bought this board during one of my "half asleep in bed with an iPad in my hands" shopping sprees a few years ago. Then I sat on the board for years thinking I wouldn't like it because it was too high gain.
Well I was wrong.

I finally built it a few months back and it's a KILLER sounding drive. It's got some range if you like "hi gain to higher gain" but it's not a Chug machine either. (Well it CAN chug).

It's made by the same XTS (Xact Tone Solutions) that builds pedalboards for the stars.
The circuit looks pretty interesting and its not something I've seen before.

The EQ controls have a very useful 3 way toggle that allows you to select the mid range band you want to tweak with the mid knob.
You can scoop it for a more modern sound. With the mids pushed a bit and the gain knob at around 9 o'clock its classic Marshall.
The gain and clipping is very rich and chewy.

To me it sounds a lot like a hot rodded Marshall. In that it occupies kind of the same sonic space as the Bombastortion (Flank Distortion)

I still have both pedals in my signal chain and I'm thinking I can put one of them away. But then I play them and I want both hahaha.

Anyway, another HIGHLY RECOMMENDED build

I recycled an enclosure from another build thinking it was the same drill template but it wasn't. Thus I had to apply a little "English" to get the top knobs in the narrower hole pattern. Turned out kinda cool....
I also used the "Basic Relay" board from Robert for this build, just because....heh.
