Zonk Box-Wiring with 9v battery, where to place LED/CLR?

New Member, first time post. Thank you for having me.

PRetty NooB question right off the bat...Here goes:

I would like to wire a 'Zonk box' except with a 9V battery, following the 'GuitarPCB's Easy wiring diagram' (I like this option)

My question is 'what should I follow for placement of the LED?'

Do I keep the LED plugged onboard the PCB between the + and - pads where it's indicated on the board?

Or, should I wire the LED how it is shown on the 'GuitarPCB's Easy wiring'

The easy wiring diagram shows the LED and CLR are offboard (and also omits the footswitch breaker board and stuff.)

Alright cool, thank you very much, apologies if this has been covered ad nauseum.

So, if you just want to not use a DC jack and use a battery I would just follow this diagram. I would still populate the CLR on the board and connect the LED to the board like normal.

Thank you for the reply!

Ok sorry. What I mean is I would like to wire it for both, 9VDC Jack input, and also have the 9V battery option.

The 'GuitarPCB Easy wiring' diagram shows one 1/4" 'Stereo' Jack instead of the 'Amphenol' style Jacks, so it doesn't drain the battery when it's not plugged into a patch cable.

Trying to get my head around the Placement of the LED/CLR when following the 'GuitarPCB's Easy wiring diagram' which shows how to wire it using both the 9V battery as well as DC Jack.

Could I still just install the LED onboard the PCB where it's indicated between the + and - pads?

(Edit* Ah, yes, ok, as your reply says, I could install the CLR/LED onboard the PCB instead of where the 'GuitarPCB's easy wiring diagram' shows, is that correct?)

The common mistake I made on the last two builds were on PCB's Printed in German. I accidentally installed the LED backwards, and had to do a little homework into that...Anode and 'Kathode' in German, oh, I get it. What I was doing was confusing the square pad labelled 'K' mistaking for the '+'

Did that on the Electrovibe build and also on a Fuzzrite PCB both printed in German. My excuse? Short term memory.

Still earning something new on every build in this case it was about LED's, looking forward to posting some build reports!!

I'm really grateful to have some support, albeit maybe even a little hand-holding from time to time while working through some new projects alone.

Dang...I'm apparently I'm out of Grey Primer!!

Ok, better Question, aesthetics....

What colour should I paint this Zonk Machine?
