Zvex Instant Lo-Fi Junky (R.A. single footswitch version)

I've searched high and low for anyone that's done a retrace on one of these.
Just the standard, Regular-A** (R.A.) version with the single 3pdt footswitch.

I know there are alternate versions of the circuit that Vex has released incorporating dual footswitches and an additional loop function; but I'll just go on and say that the core effect circuit is my primary concern and likely the simplest place to start.
As soon as a core circuit retrace gets sussed out, loading on additional bells and whistles becomes far less herculean later down the road.

I have one mostly traced but there are close to 40 SMD caps that need to be removed/measured.

It's a fairly complex circuit for what it does.

There is a THAT4315 based compressor, a microcontroller modulated BBD delay stage, several phase shift stages, and input/output gain stages.

Aahaha I certainly don't envy how much back you're having to put into a retrace of this sort, honestly by all means take your time!

As a poly-modulation effect, Ive come to expect nothing less than that kind of headache unfortunately.

Requested the regular version because just that alone is like a sum of 3 effects creating 1 "lofi" effect, more or less.

Just knowing that SOMEONE is chasing it out is certainly welcome news, and more info on the matter than I've been able to gather in a while.

Appreciate your input, it's the most solid update I have regarding the DiY possibility for one.

That sounds like it won’t be easily DIY-able…
