Throw out yer Gold Foils III (and see how they roll...)

...the answer they reveal, life is unreal.

So I made a pickup demo for Wade at Victory pickups using all 3 of my Gold Foil builds as well as my new Acoustasonic Tele.

I recycled a backing track because I'm too lazy to create something new.....hahaha....so you've heard this one from me before.
I've used it to showcase other pickups.

But this time all the electric tracks were using my Victory Pickup Gold Foils. I really like these pickups and they're like a best kept secret.

Definitely worth checking out if you're looking for something a little different for your Tele or Strat (or LP Special, or whatever....)

What pickups are you running in the red tele? I have an S shaped body with tele pickup routes and really like the sound of that neck pickup, but not sure if I’d need to route out the neck spot for these?

I watched your other GF Strat demo earlier today! Do they require a swimming pool route to install, or can they be surface mounted? Both of mine are routed for SSS, so that limits my options.

@Blooze & @coltonius

They are pretty thin pickups so you either surface mount them or you CAN get away with mounting them under a PG with. no routing but there will be a slight bulge.

The Tele thin line already had a P90 route that I had in there earlier so I didn't need to do anything to it.
The Strat was a 3 single config and I routed it out a bit for a cleaner "pick guard mount" look.

I'm resisting the Indiana Jones warehouse gif... Barely but I'm resisting :ROFLMAO:
You don't know how close to the truth this is becoming. I really can't build anymore guitars. I have no where to put them heh,
My guitar closet(s) are full. I bought a 5-pack of Fender gig bags from Stratiosphere to store all my builds when they're out of rotation.

Dude, I'd be happy to route out and and install some in your Strat. Just send me the body and the pickups.
Let's work out a trade! Your amps look phenomenal!

Are those original pickups? sounds great! And the playing is always better than you claim you sand bagger!
Thanks. Yes, original from the 60s. That guitar is the same one Jon Spencer uses but his is a Zim-Gar. Mine has no brand and a different headstock.
The pickups are very interesting. Very quiet hum, low output, a ton of bass and a great high end that isn't harsh. They shine with clean tones and chorus. The neck pickups has built in overdrive cause it's never clean :)

I was like that before the great cull when we moved home. It's not the worst problem to have.

Tell you what, because I'm such a nice guy I'll help you out. Send over the les Pauls, Vela and anything else you don't think you've got room for and I'll look after them for you. 😉

Nicely done! Seems like a “6 of one, half dozen of another” situation if it’s to be done right- route the guitar or have a custom pickguard made to allow space for the pups without a bulge. I like your solution best though, it seems to be more versatile.
