I recently found out about these. They look pretty cool, especially the first two models.

If the neck pickup was straight I'd almost like the Sferata. But even then I couldn't actually own one because I couldn't pronounce it's name. The Zenyata looks like a guitar Gibson dreamt up in the early '80s.

Anyway, I always wondered why they spelt Revolting wrong.

Do you boo. To me they look like an SG that someone left in the car with the windows up on a hot day and it melted. It looks like it would be awkward to play sitting or standing and the weight distribution would be all over the place.

Umm, it was dreamt in the 50's but not released till 1980, thank you very much.

The price is a couple hundred more than I paid for this beauty. This is a stock photo, mine has a lot more ripple/flame in the wood. It is a magnificent instrument.

Yeah I wasn't sure if I was thinking of the Moderne or Corvus. Now that I use the wonder of google I see it was obviously the Moderne!

The slanted P90 in the neck gives me a big headache. Ugly? Unnecessary?

What you get when a Fender Meteora, an EB Albert Lee, a Gibson Moderne, All of the Italia guitar line, a Rickenbacker and Brian May’s guitar all have an orgy…

Definitely not traditional, but likely more comfortable to play than they look… and not something you see every day.
Wouldn’t mind giving one a try, to be honest!

When they first came out, the Strat and the Tele were ugly to a lot of guitarists who were used to what you might now call "jazz-boxes".
Same thing for the Flying V, the Explorer, Thunder/Fire Birds...



I like most of the Rivolta schtuff, but not all.
