What’s on *YOUR* workbench?

Nice. I saw RTJ there a few years ago. Great setup. It gets pretty crowded tho and even getting a beer or using the bathroom can take like 45 minutes… maybe they fixed it since.

I was there! RTJ was one of the highlights for me that year. But sadly, we couldn't get anywhere near the stage because the crowd was massive.

This year I'm most looking forward to Lagwagon, the Dickies, and ALL (All on Saturday.)
Strung Out if I make it to Sunday.

Anyone you recommend I check out? There's quite a few I've never heard of.

St Vincent is always great live! And I’d be curious to see Tierra Whack, she is amazing!

Can you put up a sound demo when you get the new switch installed?
A sound sample of a CD/LP running through the amp? I guess I could try (not to forget), sure.
But it's just a low watt stereo tube amp with a little bit of hum, power tube is a 6AS7.

I can't wait to try it!
I'll be in Chicago in Sept. for Riotfest. Where should I go for Malört?
Not sure to be honest. I’m in PA, but tried it when an old college buddy, who now lives in Wisconsin, brought a bottle back for us all to try at our reunion

I took home the main PCB from my Vox Valvetronix VT40+ from work - only found out it wasn’t working after lugging it into the break room. Fixing a well documented issue with the switched headphone jack that randomly cuts sound from the speakers.

These amps are part of the reason I’m a huge korg fanboy (korg has owned vox for my entire life). IMO the best amp modeling pre the floor unit renaissance of late, and still blow the boss katana’s models out of the water.

HiFi tube amp that I bought ages ago on evilbay needs a new on/off switch.

Aaaand the "gutshot" .....
Original on/off illuminated rocker switch has 6.5 A @ 250 V as "rated contact current", the replacemenet I ordered has 6 A @ 250 V. I didn't find one with the exact same rating that would fit. Should work, shouldn't it? (1-2 weeks delivery time, enough to get nervous 😆)

Installed Hipshot open-gear locking tuners on my Les Paul. I have these on a strat and they install SO FAST. So great not having to do any additional drilling. I was already dreading LP string changes, but these were already so much faster.

The plate the tuners sit in is so simple and effective. It's such a deceptively elegant design. I've got lockers on all of my guitars and the hipshots are easily my favorite.
