Let's all have a good day.

I'm having a great day today. Sitting here in the shop without a worry, the wife is in a good mood, dogs napping, I got some needed work done and we are getting the first flurries of winter. The only thing that would make it better is if our dang gas fireplace worked. Apparently, it is a death trap waiting to kill us.

Finished my OSHA 30 class that I have been working on for what feels like forever. Also my electrical panel is replaced as of today so I am able to continue having homeowners insurance.

In a few more weeks I get 17 days off work. I’m looking forward to relaxing and hanging out with my family. Hoping there is some time for hobbies also.

I would have had a better day if I could remember where I left my brain. Serious deep fogginess after a trip to Costco. Ugh! I'm chalking it up to "Monday"-itis.....

We've had a landscaper here the last couple weeks addressing our complete mess of a backyard (too much for the wife and I to tackle). We're fixing up and repainting our spare bedroom for guests over the holiday. In a few weeks, the kid comes home from college for a month! December is always my favorite. Makes up for the crushing S.A.D. of January. (BTW, not bragging. I guess I'm just getting old enough to finally appreciate simple pleasures).

Work has been an absolute shit show with end of year and end-of-life projects rolling to a messy close. And yet today was absolutely brilliant so thanks for at least one winner!

Yesterday was our 35th anniversary. That makes me sound old - which is weird, because I'm only 29. My wonderful wife was in a great mood. I think buying her an eclair to have with coffee after she got home from work helped. I was going to cook something nice for dinner but somehow ended up with sausages and salad for dinner. It actually worked out well because the sausages were fantastic! Locally made and absolutely delicious. Unexpected.

Then we had a bottle of champagne to celebrate. Piper Heideseck. Yum. And tonight we're actually going out to dinner with our son and his girlfriend for a proper anniversary dinner.

35 years?? I don't know how that happened. But it's 35 years which are so much better than the years which preceded them, for both of us.

Today I have to retouch photos of wine bottles for a client and then mess around with amplifiers. Not so bad.

What’s he doing in the shop!?!? I don’t have a IG

L-R;T-B:
  • Endgame — Brian’s self proclaimed “absolute last Memory Man project”
  • Synthwave — EHX Microsynth
  • K-hole — ????? (I vaguely remember Brian mentioning this one somewhere, but I can’t find anything on the MBP forum)
  • Rustbucket 2024/25 version — EHX Attack/Decay
  • Deathspiral — Brian said that one is a 12 stage phaser. I think sorta an MBP original— not necessarily a clone of anything
  • Germaphobe — never heard this one mentioned but it looks like a Ge Fuzz with maybe a pickup sim. The name seems pretty self explanatory.
  • Orifice 2024/25 version — Toneczar Openhaus
  • Gishgallop? — I have absolutely NO clue

I don't wanna advertise here, but there's some good stuff in the ones you did not identify. Also, there's about 20 more prototypes to build. I can design a lot faster than I can actually build the sh&t.
