I should do that more often. There’s several bands I like that use Eb, or Drop C#.Eb standard
Yep- it all counts!During a playing session I’ll do a drop tuning for a riff or song, then tune it back up. Does that count?
AEADEA on 28" to be specific I guessBeen jamming open A(drop DADGAD) for a couple years
Them strings are like...Open drop F…minor, I think. Me go caveman riff. I don’t even remember the notes at the moment.
Also standard C is nice. I don’t use a baritone guitar, just a regular 25.5 scale with some custom string gauges for that silly low tuning. 12s or 13s for C. The Strat I keep in standard or D has 8s on it![]()
On that one tuning where I have two Gs in unison, I use different string gauges. I can control how much detune “wobble” that have by how hard I push down. The Strat I keep in standard or D has 8s on it![]()

Pete Anderson baritone? I have been eyeing that one for a while, it looks like one of the best baritone guitars out there. How do you like it?I like Open D, D A D F♯ A D. Bo Diddley, Keith Richards, etc style tuning.
Specifically I have a 28 5/8" scale (Reverend baritone tele) tuned to Open C, and then a multi scale 25.5-25" (Strandberg neck thru) in Open E.
That’s some cool capo work. What are those snap-on ones that grab the edge strings called?Lately, my favorite alt tuning is achieved with a partial capo on the 2nd fret, taking my guitar from standard tuning to E-B-E-A-B-e. Putting it on the 4th fret (E-C#-F#-B-B-e) is fun too. Often, I'll add a 2nd partial capo to the 1st and get E-B-E-A-D-g. I prefer to use capos instead of retuning the strings. There are a few tunes where tuning the strings, (rather than a capo), is required. Like for Pink Floyd's "Fearless" where it gets tuned to G-G-D-C-B-b.
Don't fear the capo.

A Keyser can be flipped to get some partial capo action too.
