When I listened the demo in the build report that @Aleph Null posted recently, I knew I wanted this. Exactly the sort of aggressive filtered fuzz I can get down with.

Simple build, came together quick. I just got this hammer white enclosure from tayda, and the gold in the cracks inspired me to use some gold hardware I’ve had for a while.

What value did you end up using for R8?

I left the 10k in there. I think it adds a “notch” early in the travel of the GATE, but overall works as expected.

I also went with 470pF for C8, to get a bit more resonance out of the filter.

Yes, I was pleasantly surprised. I ordered the new (to me) hammered finished Tayda had in 125B. The Silver Gray and Blue hammered finishes look cool too, but the white hammer felt right for this one.

I found 470pF to get really poky in the last third of the Filter rotation, but I could see how in some setups that would be just the right amount of obnoxious. It's not like anything else about the circuit is subtle.

Mhm, I’m digging how aggressive the FILTER is. Fwiw, the one I used measured around 510pF or so.
