That one concert (tour) you missed and would sacrifice something valuable for today to have been there.

Maybe some of the stuff my parents didn’t allow me to go to as a teenager. Notably Ozzfest and the Family Values tour.

I took my daughter to see Korn last year, which I grew out of, but felt like it made up for missing it.

I was mad at my parents, I wanted to see Black Sabbath. Oh well.

There’s an upcoming concert I really want to see, but it’s not gonna happen. The Jazz From Hell Festival in NYC in December. My favorite band, Imperial Triumphant, will be performing with a full big band. Avant-Garde blackened metal at its finest.
Looks like I hoarded their discography some time ago...

(25 years of slsk, ugh... There's more than two years of non-stop unique music on my HDD. Still waiting for the internet to dissapear and find all this collecting not a total waste of time.)

...but never gave them a spin! Playlisted their latest two albums as we speak. :)

The front row center mezzanine seats I had at The Ryman for Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds that Covid cancelled.
Very special band and a very special venue.
I'd give away $420 and my sense of smell and taste for a couple weeks. Wait, already did that.
Delta? Ha! I'm om that team to. I was mostly amused by those symptoms. It wasn't the turbo flu like I got to experience a few times after that. Now that was shitty. Should have had drugs at home that gave me out of body experiences because this protein suit was the absolute worst place to be in.

Yep. Second and third times were worse for sure.

I am not going to Brooklyn or Boston fuck that. Cuts into my horizonal with soft pants time too much
When the Pixies did the Doolittle reunion tour in 2009 they weren't stopping near us so we flew from Minnesota to the Las Vegas show because flights and hotels are basically free there. The show was good but the venue and hotel and basically the whole city were very Motley Crue meets Sturgis. The day we got back the Pixies announced an extension to the tour with a stop within walking distance of my house.

did you go to the show near your crib?

I chose not to go see Converge and Cursed in 2006. Only show-related choice that haunts me.

I generally take a hardline against seeing reunion tours but I kind of feel like I missed out skipping The Refused maybe ~10 years ago.

Never went to a stadium concert. Did I miss something by ignoring everything that happens in such places?

So many metal concerts in small to midsized venues, but almost everytime people bitch about the sound not being right, though to be fair, I feel that this is just people standing in the wrong places.

Churches have been my favorite places by far.

I've seen Converge 6-7 times and they kill every time. Best show was them and Dillinger at Blue Sky in Nashville. Jane Doe tour iirc. Small club. 3 ft stage. Dillinger had all the lights going and Converge came out, turned up the house lights for the set and the pit never stopped.
Ben Koller looked like animal on the drums. Hair everywhere.

Saw them once, at Brutal Assault a few years ago. Having never heard them before, because of their name and association with Epitaph, I always assumed they were part of that pop / nu metal wave. I've been a fan ever since.
