Outboard wiring (first project!)

Hi gang!
So I've built a few kits, but this is my first breadboard-to-perfboard design. I made the rookie mistake of connecting everything before testing the circuit. Bypass works fine, but when the pedal is on, I get no signal. I disassembled all my wiring and tested the circuit with just +, ground, in and out to my breadboard and the circuit actually works! So there must be something wrong with my outboard wiring. Here's my diagram... You can ignore the circuit itself. I'm wondering why my bypass is fine, but my circuit isn't working when wired up this way.

Can anyone shed some light?

On your footswitch, pins #3 and #6 look like they are shorting out.

Apologies, I had the wrong numbering scheme in my head. The shorting pins #7 and #8, according to this diagram:

I checked continuity on the pins... 7-8 has no continuity unless the pedal is engaged.

According to your diagram, #2, #3 and #6 all need to be connected. I only see #3 and #6 connecting

I think 2 & 3 only need to connect when the effect is in bypass, which grounds the “Board In” in bypass.

3 & 6 need to be connected, but an actual wire between 2 & 3 seems extraneous.
