Now Playing... What are you Listening to Right Now?

This found its way into my algorithm. Had never heard of it, but while watching, I see a guy playing a jaguar and it looks like it’s plugged into a Tascam. Upon some further diving, realized it’s Mike Gordon aka MkGee. I know most of you hate his tone, but this is a lot of fun! I guess this dude Dijon is someone he collaborates with a lot

haven't really listened to this one in over a decade or more.
it's kinda odd to hear it all again now, cos back then i didn't know jack shit about pedals/effects, all i had was a DS-1 that i thought was cool.
sounds like these were all mystery and magic to me and maybe that's a part of what made records like this more fun and intriguing, as with many other things that i was blissfully unaware of.

I was literally obsessed with them in the 90s. I went to every show I could, which weren’t a ton in Italy but still quite a few!

I am angry , sad and all thats in between. So the songs am listening to reflect that. Get up stand up. Orange Crush, It's the end of the world as we know it. But this one gives me the best energy. Playing together a song that seems to be made to play together. The irony of course is that the song was used by the man who started the new ICE age.
Recorded in Haarlem Netherlands, 10km from where I live. Recorded in a time no kneepads were necessary.

Absolutely love this: Intro takes longer than the average popsong.
I am gonna make me a " Build a bridge, shine a light" T-shirt. The Paradiso concert in Amsterdam is sold out. Would have loved to see this:
