let's see your pedalboard!

I love it. It’s been years since I bought a fancy commercial pedal. I initially got it to replace my micro POG. It tracks faster and sounds really good. It’s also my main chorus sound now. I have a preset where I set the treadle to the DETUNE parameter, so it sweeps between 0 and -30 cents. I’m also doing everything I can to avoid octave up sweeps a la Tom Morello. 😆
That is one of the few new commercial pedals I thought was probably worth the purchase

Yesterday me and my band (without the other guitar player) reunited for the first time in almost a year and I finally got my pedalboard put together for the gig. Not in the picture, but I also used a Vox Custom Wah, a Guild Polara and a Marshall JTM studio thru a 2x12 Bogner cab. The signal chain is Wah - Peterson Tuner - whammy V - MotherFCKR (modded muff) > Year of the Rat > Demoiselle Chorus > Boss FRV-1 > Strymon Brigadier. It was really cool to gig with my friends and being able to play loud, I really miss being an active musician and being on stage!

The XS-100 and the POG3. And two black eyes! Pretty rad.
Yeah with a board this size I figured I had room to treat myself.

And seriously, both the XS-100 and POG3 are excellent, but can be used in very different ways that makes both good to have around.

The latest iteration for the weekend jam.

Audio
Turbo Tuner -> Karma Suture -> Barbershop -> XS-100 -> LoopSwitcher[Ugly Face -> Squidward -> Schadenfreude -> ‘78 DS-1] -> AMP pre to FX loop send -> LoopSwitcher[Rainbow Machine, XC Phase] -> FX loop return.

MIDI
Switch Dr -> DMC.micro -> HydraX4 and XS-100

How is the hydra? I'm very tempted to pick one up.
I dig it. The jack spacing is pretty tight, but it’s also an impressively small switcher. Lots of handy features- two programmable gain stages, parallel effects, clean blend, reordering the loops… If you’re already using a MIDI controller and want more programmable loops, I think it’s a good solution.

Dang. I'm not down the midi hole yet but I have big dreams maybe someday. That was part of why I haven't yet is because It's hard to justify having that be the first jump. Though it all looks pretty usable from the buttons for just home use.

Good callout- it works fine at home. It’s well-labeled and the controls are intuitive.

For whatever reason, there’s a small delay when switching with the buttons. But recalling presets is super snappy so it’s fast where it counts.

I’m fresh off a band breakup and going to a rebound jam tonight. This gives me a chance to start fresh without being concerned about having the right effects on my board to perform a particular song.

So I’ll be rolling in with a mini board.

Turbo Tuner -> Okko Holy Grit -> SG-1 -> DS-1 -> EQD Ghost Echo
