I don't get to talk a whole bunch about my jorb but they do a lot of soldering work. A few weeks back I got tasked with setting up some Surface Pros on swing arm VESA mounts to be used to access work instructions while soldering on the assembly line. My bit was locking the user experience down into a kiosk mode that could only be used to access those work instructions but I took the concept home with me because it was intriguing enough to give a try.
I've always just ended up moving my work over in front of whatever screen I could manage whether it was a laptop, tablet on a kickstand, or just my computer monitor so I could look at the build docs and schematics rather than murder more trees printing that shit out.
bought a swing arm spring-loaded clamp style mount for my iPad to do the same thing, display build documents right above my soldering station and work mat. It's stupid amounts of handy and I'm into it for less than $25 bucks for some Chinesium from Amazon Prime.
