My pedal building is going to go slow. Got myself an injury.

I was chopping frozen tater tots in half with a knife. Don’t ask why I was doing that. Anyway, I cut the entire tip of my thumb off down to the bone. Just got out of the ER. I imagine if I was a farmer I would’ve just rubbed some dirt on it.

The guy said it’s probably gonna die and fall off, but he threw six stitches in it anyway.

Your grandkids are not gonna be all that impressed by this scar story of grandpa. 🤭

I had two uncles who had lost fingers to table saws. I have a saw stop table saw. I don't wanna lose any fingers. Although if it could shave off some arthritis I wouldn't mind.
Oddly enough I cut this thumb to the bone on a table saw back in 1982.

Wishing you a Speedy recovery.

Skin is a remarkable organ. Yup, it's considered an organ. I have a picture somewhere when I slipped on a dog chew bone in the dark while running to the bathroom and landed on a decorative heavy glass square vase filled with fake flowers with my forearm. About quarter of an inch deep and three inches long.

Had to hold it really tight to prevent bleeding (squirting) out until the next door neighbor arrived with a tourniquet.

Cool scar!!! But it healed nicely.

Decorations replaced with faux ceramic...

I NEVER go into a dark room anymore.

It is remarkable. We try to avoid things that are dangerous like but if we put it on our skin it is getting in our body. Glad your injury healed up. Mine happened Wednesday and I refused to look at it until today. It surprised me that it did not look dead. They are going to check it out tomorrow.

That used to be something I did daily as a photographer shooting on film. My darkroom is now a storeroom. I don't miss spending hours in a darkroom!

And? And? And?

I wasn't allowed to use box cutters anymore during craft class in elementary school. Kept cutting myself. That never really changed... I never outgrew clumsiness. Must be why I like slapstick so much. Relatable. 😅

With dodgeball being frowned upon these days, I suppose learning how to not cut yourself isn't being taught at schools these days either? Mothers who let their kids help out in the kitchen cutting veggies and such are devilish child haters.
