Gigahearts FX MICRO SQUARE fuzz

Finally wrapped this thing up. I made it more complicated with the wiring and somehow square pegged the round hole with the LED. Doh!
This is a fuzz circuit based on the fuzz portion of EHX Micro synth XO graciously bestowed upon me by @LaceSensor aka Gigahearts FX via the madbean forum. It does the thing! I haven't ever played an XO, but have a vintage bass microsynth and this is pretty close. I'll have to compare them directly the next time I dig it out.
Controls are Squarewave/fuzz-octave up- clean blend and below that is the resonant filter frequency and filter bypass.

This was populated with some way too old kester, so the flux stays. I couldn't remove it anymore, just managed to move it around. So just ignore it. New solder is in and it cleans up with warm water.
Easy layout. Smooth build aside from inverting the LED. Octave up(middle knob) could probably be an audio taper as most of its usable volume is in the last 20%.

I did try pushing it with a fuzz ala pumpkins, swelchys(edit) Ginslys Pyrite to be exact, but man the pyrite was not having an active guitar signal at all🤣
I'll get it in front of a bigger amp tomorrow and toy some more. Thanks again Ian!

Hi thanks for sharing. sorry you had a couple issues with the build. Square peg for LED is positive on my footprints (!)
Definitely does "the thing" - however, its not meant to be comparable to the (inferior?) XO series, its based on the vintage big boxes and validated against three in my collection (bass and guitar versions)

Oh cool. I (wrongfully) assumed you pulled the bits from bean's schem he posted a while back, mainly due to timing.
Thanks again for sharing and sending it across the pond!
