Everything is kind of working and tests correctly.

However it sounds like insanely bass heavy tone. I can't get a bright sound at all out of this. I saw a previous post about a bad filter pot. I checked that and it tests as should. I did use an a A500k instead of the A470k on the board but don't think thst should make any difference. It's not even making a Fuzz it's almost acting like a low pass filter and that is it. Also seems to have a volume drop. I removed the transistors and socketed them with 5088 still the same issues. Very confused on this one. First drive pedal I ever had issues with and I have built about 30.

Any advice?

ive visually gone through it comparing against the board image w/ the printed values and can't find any errors yet...

- A500 vs A470K, should have a barely perceptible difference.
- can only assume you've got the transistors in the correct orientation.
- are those red caps really 470pF? (can't see)
- are those trimpots both 500K trimpots? (can't see)
- are the pots behind the board insulated from the back of the board?

I hate to make assumptions so will just ask-have you adjusted the trimmers? The one on the right appears to be maxed out and the left "VOICE" trimmer appears to be fully ccw.
Yeah they made no difference no matter whenere I had them. It's like I am having the same problem as another post but can not figures out there this issue would be coming from? Bad transistors?
