Powersound TC1044 Q's

Hi all, I'm getting no sound from my recently built Powersound. I audioprobed it and I have signal up until pin 2 of Q1, but nothing on pin 3, which makes me think the VCC is wacky. What voltage should I be getting at pins 2 and 8 of the 1044? I'm currently getting 4.5v at pin 2, 8.9v at pin 8 (source voltage is 9.1v), 1.5v at the cathode of D102, which is VCC. And 1.2v at pin 1 of Q1

I got the 1044 from Tayda a couple days ago. I have a spare LT1054. Are they pin compatible?

nvm, figured it out. I tried a 1054 and got the same result, so I broke down and took the pedal apart. I was checking for continuity across various pins and found that D101 and 102 did not have continuity. I must have severed the trace in the PCB when I trimmed their legs. I installed a jumper and the pedal works now!

oh boy.
how long did it take you to find it though?

i encountered this exact problem/error last year with the troglodyte reverb build.
- cut the legs too short and took out the through hole/trace with it. damn. and bloody hell did it take forever to find.

easy fix at least

There's been a handful of threads where I told cats not to trim their fillets flush because it stresses the trace. IvE aLwAyS dOnE iT tHaT....
Not saying it's the cause, as Robert does have tight C and A holes. One is much more likely to rupture something if you're too aggressive there.

It wasn't too bad. I knew the problem was with the charge pump area because of the voltage issues I was having and there were only a few related components. Last year I was helping a guy on here with his byzantium flanger build which wasn't working. Finding the broken trace on that one was intense and definitely involved witchcraft
