Rack Mount PCBs?

I know a hand full of you guys have dabbled in building amps. Has anyone dabbled in DIY rack mounts? I found this site and it looks extremely interesting. Just wondering if anyone has attempted rack mount gear for recording? Or even doing a pedal that has the sound level of studio rack mount gear, sorta like the JHS color box I guess.

Awesome. Would you say it’s on par with name brand gear? Example, I feel like pedalPCB pedals when using the right components sounds equivalent to name brand. Is the DIYRE stuff on the same level?

I don't have a lot of experience with other 500 series stuff so it's hard to say.

What do you have in the Colour Palette? I've been looking at some of the modules and they look pretty cool.
Right now I have the mojo maestro, AWB95, and CTX mki. I've got the TM79 in my CP5 and that's what I'm liking best at the moment

I have a CP5 with the louder than liftoff Pentode color in it and I like it a lot, it's very viby on ribbons and has plenty of gain on tap. I like the color format but I dont know if I want to continue investing in it. I finished the Hairball audio Lola pres and they are every bit as awesome as I wanted, I love the stepped input trim. The next DIYRE kit I'd like to try is maybe a pair of their EQ fully loaded with trannys etc, I hear its a really cool pultec style EQ, I'd totally recommend any DIYRE kits. Eventually I'll try Hairballs full sized 1176 kit, whoowee!
Some other sites/brands are Fivefish Audio, CAPI, HRK and Don Classics to name a few. Seventh Circle uses their own chassis but I'm very curious about them as well.

+1 on the Dbx560, it lives right behind my CP5 in my midas rack too :P

I had been avoiding the Hairball stuff on price alone but now you've piqued my interest again Intro. I'm not that impressed with my HRK MPQ568c. It works fine and has a lot more features than the CP5, but I don't think the build quality is as good. And I never planned to fill my 6 space rack but I've noticed I started eyeing a 10-space
