Carbon Black Fuzz

Here's my Carbon Black Fuzz. I tried to sprinkle some mojo in there, don't know if that made any difference, but the pedal sounds really good, especially on my friend's guitar.

On my bass, I like it as well, it's a fat fuzz, but with real strings, the TOP knob is of rather homeopathic nature.

What are you feeding those components? Some of them are really taking off! ;)

Great looking build.

That's odd because ALL mine sound better when someone else uses them
Thanks. I feed them mojitos for maximum mojo. ;)

MOJIITO MADNESS!
I love Mojitos...

Fantastic build Fuzzonaut!

I like that type of trimmer you used. The first build I used one on was a SHO-derivative for a friend and it wasn't boosting much at all... then we discovered that type of trimmer is "multi-turn" — like a multi-pass in The Fifth Element, they just keep turning up... We got some Boom goin'

I've picked up some build tricks from you before, and today's is: sidewall tape. Seems obvious really, but still going to go back to a couple of my builds and tape up the sidewall of the enclosure (Filigree Siberian Hamster could definitely use some, if there's even room!).

Dual-sized knobs always look good, and where do you get all those cool graphics?

Another one for my cool pedal-art folder...

Thanks for the kind words, Feral Feline.

Yeah, the tape, ...., I always dry fit things and when something seems to be too close to something else it (probably) shouldn't touch, I use one or two layers of tape. Here, those oversized caps on the left came too close to the enclosure for my taste, especially the yellow one.

Some of the graphics I use, as this one, are from gig posters of bands I like. I usually take just a detail of the poster and fiddle around with that in Photoshop until I'm ok with it. Same with movie posters, LP covers, or comics, or whatever like typing "japanese ganja retro futurism" into Google pic search and see where that might take me ....
