Tayda Drill Tool Update

Could they be a clickable link in the build doc pdf going forward?

Yep. I was thinking about linking in the build doc, on the product page, and creating a master list either here on the forum or on the wiki.

PedalPCB 3-Knob (Type 1)
PedalPCB 4-Knob (Type 1)
PedalPCB 5-Knob (Type 1)
PedalPCB 5-Knob (Type 2)
PedalPCB 6-Knob (Type 1)

Dual Effects Loop Switch

It probably wouldn't be a bad idea to create a list of drill diameters for various hardware as well as the coordinates for standard placements (footswitch, jacks, etc).

I'm more than happy to contribute to this, especially as I have more or less done it myself to make my drill jobs easier to order. This update to the tool is a big Christmas Day for me personally :)

One thing I just noticed, and I emailed Hugo about just before this reply, is that I get the enter a valid value error thrown for non integer values for diameter, x and y, for holes that are valid (ie, 7.20). I'll share my other templates when this is fixed.

One interesting thing could also be to include drill templates for common mods, i.e. Hydra with Momentary Oscillation switch, Muffin with Mids switch, etc.
Love this idea so much

Tayda's drill service and finishing service, along with the printing service (which I am just about to try out), is a real game changer. Drilling and finishing is a real bummer and not having to do so lets you concentrate on the quality of wiring, layout, etc.

It's unreal how great of a service it is, and that it's such a great value. I ordered an enclosure for a Organ Donor yesterday that came out to like $14 shipped. Raw 125Bs aren't much cheaper from the USA!! My initial entry to pedals was wanting to design enclosures before enjoying the circuitry more and more and I never would have built as many as I have without Tayda's service.

Is that happening when you're entering the values? I didn't have any issues with decimals.

Indeed, I was able to use my friend drill press this week, and I mostly did a good job, but I had badly punched my jacks holes and they sit a bit too close to the pots 😕, but I'll be able to manage (thanks to the Lumbergs), and one of my LED hole is just a tad off and "ruins" my design (it'll be fine as this one is for me). I think $4,50 is an ok price to pay to be satisfied after spending time planning and designing, especially since I don't have the dedicated space to have a drill press here.
And you'll see, the printing service is great.

Yeah - I'm uncharacteristically using Safari on my work's shop computer though so it might be localized to Safari.

It would be nice if the title displayed when viewing the template, just as a bit of visual confirmation that you're looking at the correct template.
I agree - I was expecting opening template links to say like "Copy of xyz". Gonna write another quick email to Hugo about that.

This is great! I was just about to create a thread asking for help on this and it's already here.

I was looking for no-knob and 1-knob enclosures, seems pretty easy to modify the shared templates to do so.
I'll enjoy not having to spray my kitchen floor with metal shavings, or accidentally putting the top mounts too close to the edge again :/

Thank you for sharing

I don't know if this is new but I also noticed that the datasheets for the pre-drilled enclosures on Tayda now include the coordinates and diameters for the holes as well.

The datasheets should all have the coordinates and diameters, those were the files that were originally sent to Tayda to configure their CNC (before the drill tool existed).

Is the Isoceles Boost the 5 pot Type 1 drill template but with smaller holes for the toggles? also does anyone have a drill template for the Greengage (Plumes) overdrive?
