    Kliche Overdrive No Sound

So...... The audio probe helped a lot. Found that audio wasn't even getting to the first resistor in the circuit. So here I found stupid issue one: the diagram on the website has the tip and ring backwards, at least for me. I don't have a TRS cable, so that probably changes the wiring for me. I...

    Kliche Overdrive No Sound

I tried it with the 9v battery and it provides the correct voltages, but the LED doesn't light up and still no sound. The 1044 also doesn't get hot.

    Kliche Overdrive No Sound

Ha I actually just finished making one. Here's the only issue... my power supplies have suddenly stopped supplying 9v through the 9v 100ma outputs. It does supply 9v through the 9v 500ma outputs. The only issue with this is the 1044spca becomes burning hot, while the overall circuit feels hot...

    Kliche Overdrive No Sound

I haven’t reflowed them just yet, but I verified all values for components prior to pin 3 are correct. I’ve also verified continuity between each component, which is the most confusing part for why it’s not working.

    Kliche Overdrive No Sound

I think that may be the case. From a few tests with my multimeter and some research, it seems they may be backwards.

    Kliche Overdrive No Sound

It lights up on both the power supply and battery.

    Kliche Overdrive No Sound

I did not heat sink the GE diodes I’ve tried it with both a battery and power supply in the past. Just tested again and the power supply does not work, while providing 9.2 volts. The battery also does not work while providing 8.9 volts. I can check under the breakout board. May try even full...

    Kliche Overdrive No Sound

Hi all. Purchased the Kliche Overdrive kit from stomp box parts over a month ago and assembled it, but there’s an issue. No sound has been coming out, whether the pedal is “on” or “off”. So far I’ve reflowed a few joints and tried to clean it up a bit. My soldering is far from pretty, and I’m...

    DIY Bass Pedals

Recently built an Arkaim Fuzz, and it doesn’t really work with my basses. I’m working on the issue and think it should be useable. I’d rather not go through this issue again, so what DIY pedals should be bass ready, if any? Preferably anything but distortion, fuzz, or OD as I have enough of...

    Arkaim Fuzz with Bass?

Haha I forgot about that thread, that’s where I decided to go with the arkaim. I tried moving the pedal elsewhere and the same hissing noise occurs. Seems like it’s coming directly from the pedal, too, and is some sort of electronics issue. Just still don’t understand why it works perfectly with...

    Arkaim Fuzz with Bass?

Hey everyone. Just finished up building an Arkaim Fuzz (first diy pedal as well) and the thing works really well through guitar (Little noisy but I think its partially due to its location and power supply). Plugged it into my bass and... yeah it didn't go well. I don't know if it's necessarily...

    Can't find exact part values

Hey all! Looking to build the arkaim fuzz pedal, but the build documentation lists a couple BC338 transistors. Issue is, I can't find those anywhere, but I can find BC337 transistors. Are those a suitable replacement or will problems occur with the pedal? Fairly new to all this so any help is...
