    Help sourcing parts

DHL is the key with Tayda IME. I live on the west coast and frequently get my (non-enclosure) orders in like 2-3 days. Even with the annoying shipping prices, Tayda is still the closest to a true one-stop-shop in the game. I've started getting most of my normie transistors, ICs, etc, from...

PedalPCB Angry Charles (JHS Angry Charlie v3)

This was probably my 4th or 5th build and I was pretty underwhelmed as well. It also has the distinction of being the pedal that revealed a small stack of fake TL072s in my parts stash. Replaced it and it sounded less broken, but still not terribly exciting. Agreed that the tone shaping doesn't...

Removing cured UV gloss and printing

Years ago I got into fixing, refinishing, and flipping bicycle frames and got to know some of our local sand blasters and powder coating shops. Kind of amazing how well that process works, even on bike frames with lots of fiddly little braze-ons and tight corners. I would definitely do...

Removing cured UV gloss and printing

Necro bump in case it’s helpful for future travelers. I accidentally uploaded the wrong pdf for my UV print. Following @xefned’s lead I was able to remove a large solid block of print using guitar picks and the “frame” of a multi-part PCB. Definitely recommend wrapping the frame thing in some...

DEMO Grawlix [A Green Ringer with Features]

Very cool! I’ve been on a real octave effect kick lately, so you’ve piqued my interest even more than usual (super fuzz, life pedal, and heavily modified percolator w/octave down). Great demo as well. The range of tones is really impressive, especially those sustained, almost cello-like tones...

    Samples, at fabulous reduced rates!!

Really cool build. And kudos for figuring out how to cram that thing in a 125b.

    Tape Saturator Build Part 2

Wow, very cool! How do you like it? Seeing all those diodes in one place is kind of hilarious.

PPCB Utisol (Dawner Prince Red Rox)

Nice build! I’ve never heard of this circuit before. Based on the chatter here I guess it’s going on my wishlist 😂 I think the Pepto color from SBP is my most used color besides Tayda black sand and raw. Not entirely sure why, ha.

Cannon Fodder (Caroline Wave Cannon) Build

Really tidy build! The footswitch wiring is especially charming. I built a v1 last year and really enjoy it. Not sure how much different v2 is, but mine is the bassiest rat in my rat collection, ha

PPCB Cheese Monger / Lovetone Big Cheese

Your rustic letters look really nice to my eye. Having two different font sizes really takes it up a notch imo.

    A couple of Range-y masters…

Very cool. The illustrations themselves are great, but I love how you’ve clearly developed your own style. I’m sure part of it is practical for etching but that blocky angular style is great on its own IMO. It reminds me of cel shaded video games or animated movies.

    A couple of Range-y masters…

Those bird illustrations rule. Do you do illustration or design "in real life" or just have a gift for avian portraiture?

DEMO Star Wars Theme 6-Loop / Midi Switcher + Midi expander

Really nice work! This projects covers half a dozen disciplines and skills at least. It must’ve been very satisfying firing it up for the first time. I’ve only done a couple paint by numbers projects with microcontrollers, but I’ve been super impressed by how much functionality you can get out...
