Wow talk about a sleeper for a distortion pedal! This baby will rock! This was a difficult build for me because the board is so small and the parts are so close together. It really showed me how poor my soldering skills were! I’ve got to get better.

I used a repurposed enclosure from stompboxparts hence the hole between the knobs. I just stuck a led holder in there. Not my favorite color but they can’t all be white or Weston Gray lol. Highly recommended build if your looking for a high gain distortion and have decent soldering skills.

Nice build! I’ve never heard of this circuit before. Based on the chatter here I guess it’s going on my wishlist 😂

I think the Pepto color from SBP is my most used color besides Tayda black sand and raw. Not entirely sure why, ha.

For some reason I’ve had the best luck with my builds working when I use the white enclosure lol. Just wrapped up one using the new Cosmic Lilac and it’s pretty cool. Think the Gray is probably my favorite but I do enjoy the exotic colors. I don’t care for the blue much for some reason which is strange given blue is my favorite color.

Hey @bluedmc777 - your soldering problems may be fixed just by getting a new narrower tip for your soldering iron. I replace my soldering iron tip maybe once or twice a year and it really makes a difference.

I agree. I use a conical .5mm on a Hakko fx888 which is probably too big. I tried a sharp conical .2mm but had a REALLY tough time getting enough solder flow.
