Should I let my pregnant wife help me populate PCBs?

If this were the 70's we'd be telling her to get busy with the led solder.

What would you consider a "long enough" delay time for most practical purposes?

A single PT2399 delay may put you at 20mA+. That's really not so bad, though even on battery power.

What would you consider a "long enough" delay time for most practical purposes?

The FV-1 will get you 1sec and will sound better than any PT2399 most likely. You can even program it to have PT2399 noise, if'n-u-want.

Foxx tone Machine pedalpcb d9b ok?

For the rectifier diodes, you want something with a VF as close to 0.33v as possible. You can use BAT46 Schottky diodes as a sub which are 0.35v. Once you get into higher VF, the effect may not work correctly. I tried D9E recently which have a VF of 0.45v and they did not work at all! For the...

SOLVED Part of PT2399 delay circuit responsible for repeats (Madbean Degenerator)

Yup, Q1 is your suspect. Audio probe the gate and source pins (gate for input, source for output).

    tc1044 ground question

It's not a dumb question. Ground is ground whether or not you are working with positive of negative DC voltage. In the case of an inverter, that 47uF cap is still a power decoupling cap but the + end is connected to ground rather than the - because in that case, ground is the higher voltage...

    5th Openhaus Attempt

I think the schematic is mostly correct EXCEPT Q6 on the schem (not my drawing) is shown as NPN and it is actually a JFET. And, it looks like my layout was erroneously done for NPN. So, what you need to do is: Using a 2n5457, flip the orientation as shown at Q6 on the PCB (so the transistor is...

    5th Openhaus Attempt

I looked at this one recently while considering doing it as a regular project. I think there are a couple of errors. I'll check later today and get back to you.

    SPST vs SPDT switch

Like benny said there is no switching problem that exclusively requires an SPST. For power on a tube pedal you can even do one better with an SPDT. Use a 1M resistor to ground on the extra lug to quickly drain the voltage off B+ on the tube pedal when powered down. However, there is one...
