    Cardinal tremolo - distortion

I’ve been wanting to build this one. I just emailed the 1776 guy the other day asking if his store would reopen but he said no plans to at the moment. I don’t see anything standing out. Your soldering looks good. My first guess would be the vactrols. They don’t look like xvive or excilitas...

    Deadend FX Reflektor low volume

I’m building this soon. Still sourcing the last few components. Not sure of a fix yet but if you post some pics here I’ll take a look. Just make sure they’re clear and from straight over the top of inside the enclosure. If we can’t get it fixed here or in another forum I would just send Dino at...

    Another Lowtide Question

the questions about Low Tide builds are so plentiful that it’s almost become a meme. My own questions included. 😂Surprised someone hasn’t actually made one yet though. Or have they? Don’t let it stop you from asking questions if you don’t see it in a previous thread but a chuckle is par for the...

Should I expect to pay Tariffs on Tayda Orders?

😂😂😂😂😂😂 We’re all just here holding our soldering irons waiting for life to normalize again.

Should I expect to pay Tariffs on Tayda Orders?

Makes total sense now. Thanks for teaching me something new. ✌🏻 All of this craziness can’t end soon enough.

Should I expect to pay Tariffs on Tayda Orders?

That I understand. Companies do it all the time. Buy parts from China. Assemble it here and call it Made In USA. But that doesn’t mean we the consumers pay tariffs directly on the product they make. The company pays the tariffs for the components they bought from another country and eventually...

Should I expect to pay Tariffs on Tayda Orders?

Dino is actually really good about refunding any extra money that wasn’t used to pay for the shipping. Very honest guy. A couple times I didn’t even realize he did until weeks later. I think he just does it like this because some of the PCBs are pretty large and he doesn’t wanna come up short...

Should I expect to pay Tariffs on Tayda Orders?

I’m probably missing something but I thought we only pay tariff charges for goods coming from other countries? Pretty much as a penalty for not spending our money within the US. I notice some parts on Mouser have no tariffs and some do. I figured the parts made here would be exempt and the ones...

    Fuzz War V1 Question (Transister-related)…

Any updates on this one? Curious to know how it turned out.

    SOLVED Lone king low output

If all the components check out ok you might have a broken trace that can’t be seen. Not common but it did happen to me twice. The audio probe or checking for continuity with a multimeter will sort that out.

Kliche Mini White SE No Sound

If you haven’t yet, I’d check the resistors in your stash that were used for this and make sure they’re actually the value the bag says.

Kliche Mini White SE No Sound

The resistor on the top left is 12k, Brown, red, black, red, brown. Top right is 1k8 (didn’t have 2k) brown, grey, black, brown, brown. Bottom is a 1k. Brown, black, black, brown, brown. The two brown bands almost look grey but it’s probably just the light.

Kliche Mini White SE No Sound

I checked all your resistors and they look correct. R29 is the only one I can’t see. I don’t see anything else that stands out. One thing I’d suggest doing is making sure the resistors with brown bands on both ends are the correct values marked on the bag you got them in. It’s possible someone...

Tayda Tone Bender PNP with 3PDT PCB

Ground is always ground. But in this case it’s positive instead of negative because things are swapped and you’re feeding in -9 volts. Nothing different is happening with the charge pump versus swapping those two wires I suggested. The charge pump is just used so it can be daisy chained with...

Tayda Tone Bender PNP with 3PDT PCB

The colors of the wires are just reversed now. It’s the same as if you reversed those two I suggested above. In the new picture the black wires marked “ground” are positive. The red wire feeding from the charge pump into the pcb is negative. (-9v) All this positive ground stuff can be confusing...
