    Sorcerer/Wizard PTP (revised 4/20/2026)

Thank you! Yeah, the original was an experiment that turned a bit too rat's nesty. If anything, the new one looks better, even though its function so far is messed up. Interestingly, the diagonal thing just happened organically out of necessity and spatial orientation. I did not plan on it...

    Sorcerer/Wizard PTP (revised 4/20/2026)

Soooo... I decided to revisit this one because after playing it, I was like--is this REALLY what it's supposed to sound like? It sounded... okay. A bit weird. Not Iommiesque enough. Plus, I also saw that @Chuck D. Bones had published some mods on the circuit, and I love me some Boneyard...

Skreddy Animals Major OD/HamishR Old Fashioned/Prey Drive PTP

Thank you! although I think I prefer the looks of my diamond peak guts. I sacrificed internal harmony for looks haha

Skreddy Animals Major OD/HamishR Old Fashioned/Prey Drive PTP

I should have mentioned, the characteristics of the pedal will also change with biasing. I like the biasing 10K trimpot sub for the 5.1k resistor feeding in from the power line to the collector of Q3. It really allows you to define the characteristics of the breakup and decay. Could be a...

Skreddy Animals Major OD/HamishR Old Fashioned/Prey Drive PTP

Yes, actually, they are very distinct. The Diamond Peak is much more transparent and open/raw sounding than the Major. It can also get into fuzz with bass control and gain dimed. It has a wider range of tone and gain. The Major is very Marshally--amp-like, pushed mids, compression, big rawk...

    Acrobat Parametric Distortion

I can check for you when I get home. I think there might be some info on it from Robert if you sift through the forum. There definitely is about the switching jack, but it's useless because you need a special expression pedal. With a dual gang pot, I believe.

How'd you stuff it in there? you flattened/clipped the pot tines, and ran leads to the gain and vol pots with dustcovers? I don't see the effect out cut.

Skreddy Animals Major OD/HamishR Old Fashioned/Prey Drive PTP

I don't know if it will meet the standards of owlexifry tite chugginess! You can definitely get higher-gain marshall tones and pull out some squealies, but it's less dry than say a Revv3. Maybe boosted? Haven't tried yet. In any case, it's a pretty low parts pedal and not particularly hard...

Skreddy Animals Major OD/HamishR Old Fashioned/Prey Drive PTP

Upon @HamishR 's enthusiastic suggestion (thanks, bud!), I had a go at this circuit. The breadboarding was super dumb, but I struggled through it, loved the Marshall Big Rock sound it gave, and of course I had to try to PTP the thing. This time, though, I had a concept and did graphics and...

    PedalPCB Angry Andy Plus/JHS AT+

Well, I think my build is a pretty solid pedal, and I would guess captain squealies AKA @owlexifry would like it. It's kind of like a marshall-in-a-box, but it maybe doesn't have the obvious gain range as, say, the Skreddy Major OD or the Colombo Plexi Breed. It really skews pretty quickly...

    Transistor Sockets

Check, check, check, and check. Outrage bingo? Is there a prize? Pro-breadboarding, pro-sockets. Sockets have saved my sanity several times.

    Old Fashioned (Skreddy/Animals Major Overdrive)

Good to know. I find the bass control a bit mild in my breadboard of the Major OD, so no doubt I've made yet another error in the breadboard.
