I went with 4.7nf at R1 and 47nf at R3. Of the two, R3 is more critical to tone, R1 looks like a pulldown resistor. I'm just extrapolating based on what was there before and @Guardians of the analog 's handwriting. But we can ask him directly.

Can confirm. Even though I wasn't sure if R1 and R3 are 4.7nf or 47nf. Implemented this on one side of a minotaur fuzz & burn and it drastically Improved the pedal.

Just to update for the low-end lords and ladies: Can confirm this circuit works pretty dang well as bass dirt.

I think it indicates you have the preamp dialed in correctly, for sure, if it's a preamp. Some other circuits, though, it's hard to get to, if not impossible, since it seems like they're designed dirty.

That's the one. I went back and returned retuned by ear. Made a really big difference. Even got a nice clean for the first 1/32nd of the gain pot rotation. And finding the right setting on my Palisades/Stockade for the tite chuggs. Now I've got owlexifry squealies and excellent modern metal...
