Thank you. Dumb question, If I use a breakout board, is everything but the bypass (5th point on PCB?) the same? Or should I just bite the bullet and wire it with no breakout board?

Here's a better angle. The bare wire is on the negative side of the jack. Glob of solder just makes it look longer.

The pic does look like that but I double checked, longer peg from DC jack goes to positive. I hate soldering wires to things so those connection are never pretty lol

Here's some pics. I can post a video if needed. I think the issue is with my 3Pdt wiring but I'm not sure. Power led isn't in yet but I covered the holes and close the enclosure when testing. Side note, Is the expression input meant for a 100k pedal?

Are these the right ICs? 555 timer 386n I have one built, it almost works but there's a loud hissing sound the whole time. Not sure why.
