This is an older project. It is the preamp of the Orange 4Stroke Bassamp in a smaller pedal form:

1&2 and 4&5 When installing the DC jack, you have to disconnect the cables.

I have changed the bass band a little bit so that it allows changes from 30 Hz.

I know this preamp already exists in pedal form, either as a kit, terrible building instructions full of errors or as a finished pedal from dicosimo. But whenever I looked at those pedals, I found the control layout awful. So I decided to build a version based on my ideas.

I have been using a Fender TBP-1 preamp in my rack for many years. My idea was to simplify the preamp and put it in a pedal. So I used the factory schematics and create a pcb.

After building a 1:1 copy of the Mesa Boogie M6 preamp, I wanted to build an alternative version. I wanted to replace the tube with a JFET circuit.

The current draw is 120mA. I would use a TEC 3 because the range of the input voltage is better (4.5V...13.2V). The input voltage of the TMR is 9...18V. Most power supplies deliver just under 9 volts. The Tracos react very sensitively to undersupply.
