The thaught me how to draw a pcb on see through paper with rub-on soldering islands and 0,5 pentelpens. And then the proces of lighting. Acid. Drilling. And then soldering with no folds. Just straight legs and creating shiny joints.
And then I never touched a soldering station again until recently.
For me there is a difference between listening to a simulation and playing/feeling one.
A friend of mine plays with a UA plexi pedal and an active Fender FRFR monitor. I like it when he plays it. I need that under the fingers feeling.
I like this video of the Wampler Pedalhead but I am afraid...
I just read some threads about supro pedals and that made me wonder about my search for a tone I thought I had in a Matchless hotbox I had years ago.
Is there any resemblance in the preamp of a DC30/hotbox and a Supro pedal? Is the sound I am after a different sound then I would wanted to hear...
I noticed your post in MichaelWs hotbox thread. The hotbox and this Tush are described in similar ways. Mid forward, a fuzzy edge, touch sensitive and compressed. Is it fair to claim similarities?
Edit: Let me find out for myself and order a sheepy pcb
I had the a hotbox for 20 years and had bass and treble also around 9 oclock. I used it with and ac30 with inputs jumpered. I had a love hate relationship with it and ultimately sold it.
But now I just use the normal channel, and was thinking to try it again.
