I didn't get a picture. It works fine now. It's just odd I couldn't reflow the two spots to make contact. I have a chain of resistors up top that looks ugly. Somehow I didn't have an 18k, so I made one.

The pickups are fine. Clean up the old pots if it's too bright. Clean up the wiring. 4 way switch? Do the parallel/series option in the middle two positions. Clean the jack plug.

Those guys used the pretty standard only Dunlops you could buy back in the day. You'd be surprised how much you can change the sound of a wah, just by readjusting the the max the pot reaches on the toothed foot mechanism. Just need a screwdriver. Completely changes the sweep. But, I know...

I never really got much of an octave. Maybe a hint of one on a few frets. Not the best for that type of thing. Velcro and cools splatty sounds are good. Have the probe version that I get get whammy pedal type sounds and theremin stuff.

Just to throw in my two cents. My favorite all around smoothish fuzz is a peach fuzz. It can get to muff territory all the way to 60s raspy stuff closer to a tonebender. Plus it cleans up with the volume knob, which my muffs can't.
