Varitone switch on a Squier Jaguar

On whatever side has the henrys your looking for. One side the cap input and the other side to ground. Some people use a 1 meg resistor from input lug to cap to stop popping.

Varitone switch on a Squier Jaguar

Just make sure you get a frequency spec within guitar range or a full audio range transformer and probably not a power step up or down tranny. BB King's signature Lucille had no f holes, so it didn't have feedback problems, but it's resonate. Great guitars. The other "Kings" in blues liked...

Varitone switch on a Squier Jaguar

Looked at my notes, maybe you could compare the other schematics and calculate something 10.29 Henry transformer Position 2= .0033uF 3 = .0047uF They sound great like bb king 4 ( bass notched) = .1 uF These sound like bad transistor radios 5= .22 uF 6= .47uf ( didn't use this one mine, just...

Varitone switch on a Squier Jaguar

I went down this rabbit hole last year. I don't think I found a formula, nor could I find a transformer to supposed Gibson henrys specs. (It's debatable the online schematics are totally correct). I ended up using a easily obtainable transformer and ballparking the cap values while testing...

    Sonicake VOLWah teardown

The foot switch is mounted, so you'll have to unscrew that. Not sure if there is a pot mounted too.

Voice (Singing Electric) Differential Box (fuzz)

Now the more I look into it, this is just a Japanese take on a fuzzrite.

Voice (Singing Electric) Differential Box (fuzz)

That looks pretty damn close to what I sketched out. I might ask the guy to get a guy shot of the original. It's more out of curiosity and the lack of info online with this one. Thanks for the info everyone!

Voice (Singing Electric) Differential Box (fuzz)

A friend on mine a few towns away recently bought this and had someone clone it. Hardly any information on these other than it's one of the earliest Japanese fuzz boxes. The original has a momentary foot switch. Who knows what the intent was with that. It sounds like your typical 60s fuzz...

    How Can I Bias a Push-Pull Fuzz?

It's a fairly clean octave pedal. I've been using it for a decade plus. It glorious into a dirty amp or with a drive pedal. You can switch a leg off (emitter or collector) the last transistor to make it a full on fuzz.

Current Tayda fees after new tariff?

Didn't the supreme court deem these tariffs illegal? Aren't refunds in order. Probably only to the companies who push back and not the consumer as usual.

Excessive microphonics in a guitar & PUs

Sounds like a few things could be happening. Some potted pickups aren't fully waxed as they probably should be in some scenarios. Lots of folks and makers let the hot wax leak out a bit too much. There still could be a base plate that has a gap or a cover that has too much space. I've had...

AHHH! Real Monster Arpeggios (PPCB HAARP)

I actually had a breakthrough today when I pulled it out. If you turn the step knob all the way down, it's a fairly cool octave and harmonizer pedal. Sounds like my whammy. You can get one octave down, unison, a 3rd,5th and 6th up.

    Ticking from SuperHeterodyne Receiver

Hell yeah dude! Worked for me. I've been just putting up with it in practice because it was only on during completely loud parts. This shuts it right up. I ran a resistor from a foot switch pulldown resistor to the left side of the c23 cap.

Current Tayda fees after new tariff?

Shipping is still fine to Japan. But, I suspect prices will only go up on everything soon with the Strait of Hormuz being blocked for the time being. What a damn mess.

    Treble booster options

Yeah the forth leg has no benefits from my experiments. I end up clipping it or, putting it off to one side. These are odd Japanese germaniums I found in a bin.
