Just here to say that I made almost the exact same mistake! Had the diode the wrong way. Was troubleshooting for days, even made an audio probe, then stumbled on this thread and looked at my diode.🤦‍♂️ Was not my first pedal build but man, was it humbling. Have to say though, hearing the fuzz...
