Sorry to jump on: I'm just starting to figure out how to use all of this. Success on my first 4 PCBs on my own project in Eagle!
Now, want to make these faceplates. Any how to?
I just found "SheepyLove" GitHub links.....
Any tutorial on making pcb faceplates? I'm pretty decent in Eagle at...
I'll build up the stock first (Lunar) then the Screw Driver.... they already are done up with sockets for the Ge parts. I have a HFD I bought from Skreddy around 2015, so will be interesting if I can get close tones with that mod.
Just playing around to see if there's a ballpark before I just...
yes. It looks like the old NOS ones that came stock in a few: the blue stripe diodes. Some are Toshiba 1S1588 and one looked like the ol' MA150 that sometimes is used in the KOT. So slightly higher fv: 1n914/1n4148: is a 0.6fv, and those others run 0.7 to 0.75fv.
Singles on each, unless the...
sorry, just saw this.
Sources: I have a TS Silver and have repaired several SD1 Silvers over the years. (SD1 almost always a wire breaking: re-trim and place back on, and fixed).
But yeah, nothing crazy, just "hi-fi" audio parts, and NOS stuff.
Hey all--- I'm going to build the "holy trinity" of Skreddy based on other reports I saw in this forum: Lunar Module, Screw Driver, Hybrid Fuzz Driver. Yes, looks like we can build all 3 with the Aldrin board! I have the HFD, so will be awesome to compare the 3 builds to!
So easy question...
Just curious, what hfe are we shooting for on this Ge?
I have tons of Russian/Soviet mil Ge that can fit this, so may just socket and see which sounds best.... just curious which range skreddy shoots for, and if you all are altering the R10 5.1k at all?
Thanks
Its 1/2 mojo gimmick and 1/2 normal awesome values.
It basically changes the input caps to .047uf to balance the tone, add bass and knock back the mids. Some "NOS" diodes that are just a hint more fv (think .6 to .8) so you get a touch more headroom compared to 1n914s, and then the electrolytic...
