I agree with @swelchy, it is not easy to line everything up to build the Emu. I was able to use solid wire (diode lead clippings) to attach the footswitch board to the main board, which helped stabilize the lower slider switches a little better. Looks like I should have dusted the black paint...

Thanks Chuck, it is easy enough to keep the board power on, but I will need to figure out something for the LED indicator, probably just switch the LED ground like a typical stomp switch. I plan to build another similar headphone combo, so great timing so I can avoid the popping problem there...

I also just found out the hard way, the two LEDs in parallel need to be the same color / have a similar forward voltage to work without adding a secondary branch resistor. I had a blue LED and red LED in parallel, red came on but the blue didn't. Red has a lower forward voltage (approx. 1.9V)...
