Moonn Electronics Fuzzhead stoner bee build docs

You can find Fuzzhead's original schematic here. You'll have to trace it though, as the component numbering doesn't match. https://dirtboxlayouts.blogspot.com/2020/10/fuzzhead-fx-stoner-bee.html

    Skreddy Screwdriver

Try the Skreddy Hybrid Fuzz Driver. It's very close to the Screwdriver, and was traced here. https://forum.pedalpcb.com/threads/hybrid-fuzz-driver.3517/ https://forum.pedalpcb.com/threads/aldrin-lunar-module-to-hybrid-fuzz-driver-transformation-bom-comparison-updated.1401/ Then there's the...

    OPENHAUS ORIGINAL LAYOUT

How does it sound for you? It looks like a boosted germanium fuzz face with a lot of EQ, but tuned for metal? I haven't seen any commercial PCB's anywhere. I'll probably have to try a stripboard build.

    Rat with a 3-band EQ?

I built Blower Box clone with bass/treble and it's great. It can get very fuzzy and heavy. http://dirtboxlayouts.blogspot.com/2019/06/idiotbox-blower-box.html The Dunwich Volt Thrower adds clipping options (There's another version with a mid control, which I'd like to see)...

Hi-gain modern fuzz that isn't muddy/has clear note definition?

I also like the Carcosa which led me to its inspiration and my current build, the Maestro FZ-1S. It has a clean blend so you can have all out fuzz, and clarity at the same time. I wanted to keep the FZ-1S stock, but it needs some volume and gating tweaks. The improvements on the Carcosa work...

    Vero board Layouts sources?

https://vero-p2p.blogspot.com is forum member andy-h-h's vero and tagboard layout blog. He does his research and goes in depth with a lot of testing. I'm a big time Dirtboxlayouts builder too.

    Brown enclosure?

OP asked for 125B, but for those looking for 1590BB, Amplified Parts has them in their store, Reverb, and eBay. https://www.amplifiedparts.com/products/chassis-box-1590bb-diecast-471-x-370-x-118 https://reverb.com/item/2976068-chassis-box-1590bb-diecast-4-71-x-3-70-x-1-18-color-brown...

    Lot lizard log vs anti-log

I also used a C100k for the octave.

    Even more new Tayda colors!

They haven't had the old "glowing" (not new "glow") neon green, orange, and pink in some time. I've bought examples of all three, and they looked great.

    Something about MXR Distortion 2

Revisiting my old build, I see Res#1 on row B (ground) , where all schematics I've seen say it should go to Vref , which is row C. The layout I used looks just like the one posted by NickC, except the filter lugs are reversed. The only clone PCB's I know of are BYOC and Lectric FX

What's a good clean (no fuzz) octave down for bass?

Does anyone know how the second output on the original Meatbox is connected? I built one on stripboard that matches the Lectric-FX schematic. I didn't like it as a straight up octave pedal, but using a separate splitter with a direct line going into the board, sounds massive.

    Changes for PACIFIER PCB

I changed R13/C11 from 4.7k/56n to 470R/560n and it works as a heavy distortion now.

Bass contour only on neck pickup

I had this work best with C500k and C1M pots. On one of my guitars I applied the bass cut only to the neck also. https://www.premierguitar.com/the-recording-guitarist-the-fabulous-focus-knob For my pickguards, the pots I had for pedals worked fine. For my carved top, I had to order one from...

Are there any that would be worth replacing with trimpots?
