It was pretty contained to just where the battery sits, I've circled it in red, so I'm not too sure anything corrosive actually got on the board

Ok, probed a bit to locate where the hiss begins : Hiss becomes noticable coming out of C4 (nothing on R8), but you have to crank amp volume to hear it At this stage : Things get really noticable coming out of C9 at any volume, and is influenced by the drive knob

Ok, so flipping them around has sorted my sound problem. Volume an Tone work again, it is a nice crunchy sound, but the drive knob only serves to insert hiss without affecting the actual drive of the guitar. Gonna probe to see who's generating the hiss, but if anyone has any ideas in the meantime!
