Just did this mod - removing C10 - and the bias/load is much more usable throughout the whole range, with better gating/sustain, and improved tone, as Ajitator describes. For me, I'd be good with just the mid-level cap and no switch, but the tones on both modes are way, way better.

If I don't want the switch but just increase C3 & C11 a bit, would it still be usable for guitar? Usually doing bass-friendly mods improves my results even on guitar so I'm inclined to just change the board values but wanted to check. Thanks.

Just built an Oxide Distortion (Mostortion) which also uses these - I highly recommend it. It is kind of another TS variant in a way, depending on how you mod it (C5 value primarily). I put 100nf in there instead of 220nf, it works pretty well for tighter high gain...

The King of Gear (makes the Oxford Drive, a great Shredmaster clone/variant) claims that when opening up the treble on the output, you also need to adjust the input filter, or else it'll be harsh. I'm guessing that might be somewhere between C1 and C5?

Hello, I am trying to figure out if it's possible to add an external Bias control to the Cadmium Fuzz, and if so, where to put a pot instead of a resistor. I don't quite know where this would be - possibly R7 or R8?
