I can’t tell from, the photo but are all the ICs completely inserted in to their sockets? I have had the trouble recently. One side inserts OK but the other is not the entire way in. I successfully built this a few months ago and modulation pedals are my nemesis.

I found the chisel tips much better over all for quick soldering. It eventually dulls a bit so I just file it down.

It appears the AVERY 2500 ink jet printer self-adhesive foil is not available in the USA.

Took a chance and bought them on ebay. I had to toss the first one I tried due to a low hfe. Good suggestion on starved voltage.

No trimmer just a bias pot. But the closer to max the better it sounded. I obviously did not spend a lot of time with it but I could not dial in the sound I expected for Spirit in the Sky. As mentioned, it sounded like a generic distortion box.

Just built it today and had some questions. There is a bias pot and I wondered if biasing needs to be done or is it for something else? It works but seems to be just another distortion/fuzz pedal. I need some more time with it before I decide if its worth boxing. Also, what are the chances...

What did you use for a guide to the parts since the build doc has been "coming soon" for long time. Some have recommended the Muffin Fuzz build doc but it's not an exact match.

I did. Works well. Resoldering worked. There were a couple unsoldered parts and IC sockets.
