    Hydra Delay no signal

Here’s the schematic in case you don’t have it

    Hydra Delay no signal

If the led isn’t turning on then it’s either in backwards or it’s not seeing power and connecting to ground. The solder joints on the 4 footswitch pads look a bit sketchy, maybe check them with a multimeter. After that I’d trace the power line to the regulator, and ensure that 3.3V is coming...

    Dimension P Chorus

Another quick thought, if you don’t have a pair of callipers to measure the hole positions for your enclosure, the JLCPCB website has a gerber viewer. If you click on your order you can click on the rendered image of the PCB and in the new page that opens up there’s a measure tool. I think right...

    Dimension P Chorus

Thanks for sharing your progress man, this is really cool to see! Glad to hear its working well too! - Tom

SOLVED BYOC KoT issue... Only one side working

so if both circuits are off is there no signal? if theres no signal when both circuits are bypassed it would suggest that there is a break in the connections between the jacks and the footswitch, or that the signal path is being sent to ground somewhere. i think check your solder joints between...

10 band eq based on 6 band eq

thank you! this is the first time id really looked at filters in more detail, hadnt even realised what the Qs was! thanks for the suggestion thats really helped my understanding! thanks for the suggestion, this is a great idea and saves me a bit of time with the numbers! ill probably use the...

10 band eq based on 6 band eq

hi all, im looking to build a 10 band eq based on the 6 band eq pcb. im wondering if this would be achievable just by adding another tl074 quad opamp? would it work if i added another tl074 and bandpass filters like the below, and then adjusted the values of the existing ones to new frequencies...

    Pendulum Harmonic Temolo - crackle

Hi all, Having a small issue with the pendulum harmonic tremolo circuit. The effect seems to be working fine, I swapped the volume pot out for an A50K to limit the volume a bit and it sounds great. The issue is that when my guitar volume is at max there’s a crackle on the string attack. This...

    Voltage regulator burning out

Thanks so much for the response! yeah I found that the pinout diagrams for the L78L33 voltage regulator aren't all that obvious, definitely going to be double checking from now on! When the circuit was working it worked for about half an hour before I turned it off. It was only after I boxed it...

    Voltage regulator burning out

Hi all, Ive been having an issue with a clone of the hydra - i drew this up in diptrace and ordered some boards from JLC. Side note that this is a one off gift for a friend lol I already have a hydra i built with a PCB from pedalPCB, and i managed to get this one working just the same until...

    Hydra Delay - speed control

I fixed the connection above and after remaking the board with fresh components I managed to get it working. I was really stoked as the sound of the hydra is incredible. But alas tonight I boxed it up, plugged it in to test it, and the voltage regulator burned out. This hadn’t happened when I...

    Hydra Delay - speed control

I think I’ve found the issue, when I was tracing the circuit it looks like I listed the 3.3V common ref to pins 6 and 8 of the FV1 differently to the 3.3V coming from voltage regulator, I’m gonna retrofit a connection and see if that solves the issue

    Hydra Delay - speed control

Confession time lol, I’ve been having a go with diptrace and getting PCBs through JLCPCB which is what I did for this circuit. I have a hydra PCB and eeprom which I bought from pedal PCB and I cloned that eeprom to use here. The eeprom works correctly as I tested it in my working hydra, and this...

    Hydra Delay - speed control

Hi all, I’m having an issue with my hydra circuit where the speed control is acting as a tone control instead of a speed/time control. When turning the ‘speed’ knob up, the delayed signal sounds filtered rather than any change to the time between repeats. The rest of the circuit works as...

SOLVED Hydra Delay - volume and background noise

Thanks everyone for your help, I managed to get it working and it sounds great, cant wait to get the design done!
