I see a bunch of the BC548B but no BC548A. It may not make a real difference anyway. I'm just going to socket first and try some of the shit load of other NPN Si's.

Old thread but I'm just getting around to this build. Did you use BC548A's? Seems very hard to source those. But seems like an NPN around 100 hfe should work?

I dont know if this is going to hurt my point total but, I actually did not throw it away. Ironically(?) I started using the washers on the inside of the enclosure to set the footswitch. So, they are there... Just not properly displayed on the outside.

This one is based off the Ibanez SM-9 Super Metal from the magical 80's. With a couple additions which allows for a bit of fine-tuning. It's a cool amp-like distortion pedal. Sounds pretty good.
